The OCAD Student Union is looking to hire a student to perform at this year’s annual Winter Feast! Winter Feast started in response to the volume of international students that could not go home for the holiday break. It offers an opportunity for OCAD students to come together to share food, stories, and traditions, and to create a sense of community. This year the event will take place in person. The performance will take place at the in person event, and could be anything from poetry/creative writing, music, contemporary dance, stand-up comedy, DJ, singer, etc. We especially encourage international students to apply for this, but are open to all applications.

How to Apply:
If interested, please email social@ocadsu.org with the subject line: “Winter Feast Performer”, along with:

  • Your name, and the title of the performance
  • A description of the proposed performance (200-250 words)
  • Technical requirements (If you would need rented equipment from AV Loans such as a microphone, speaker etc.)
  • Up to five examples of your work related to this theme or performance-based work, links to your performance work (ie. website, soundcloud, bandcamp, youtube)
  • Your CV/Resumé

The deadline to submit is November 20th 2023. Questions and inquiries can be emailed to this same email address.

The OCAD Student Union encourages applications from women, Indigenous peoples, visible minorities, people with disabilities, and persons of all sexual orientation or gender identity.

We thank all candidates for applying, but only those chosen for the event will be contacted.
